 ULTRASTAB Current transducers

Danfysik ACP's high precision current transducers - with the brandname ULTRASTAB - are using the flux gate principle and performing stateof the art wideband precision current measurements.

Zero Flux Detection
In the ULTRASTAB current transducers the magnetic fieldgenerated by the current flowing in a conductor is measured by counterbalancing this field by means of the electromagnetic field generated bya toroidal coil. The precise counterbalance (the zero flux) is detectedby a very sensitive magnetic flux detector. This detector drives thecurrent source, feeding the necessary value of ampere-turns in thefield compensation toroidal coil. The unique feature behind thecompensation principle is the extremely high accuracy. The limit isonly set by the obtainable sensitivity in the magnetic field detector.

Today the ULTRASTAB current transducers can measure from DC to >800kHz current with a precision less than 3 ppm!
