Zone 21 and Zone 22hazardous areas with un-armoured and braided cable providing a combined flameproof seal and environmental seal on the cable outer sheath.
This product provides full compatibility with restricted breathing equipment that rely upon flammable gases being excluded from the main enclosure.

CWe Cable Gland (Explosion proof)
CMP Type CWe Increased Safety (Type 'e') cable gland for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Hazardous Areas with Single Wire Armour (SWA) cable providing an environmental seal
on the cable outer sheath. The cable gland being suitable for armoured cables, provides mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via armour wire termination.

Shrouds PVC Cablegland
CMP manufactures a range of push on shrouds which are used to minimise the risk of dirt or foreign substances gathering on the Cable Gland body, and/or point of cable to cable gland interface. Standard shrouds are produced in Black PVC and PCP. CMP SOLO LSF (Blue/Grey) Halogen Free shrouds are available from stock.
It should be noted that although the addition of a shroud may aid the process of keeping the surface of the cable gland free from the build up of dust or dirt, this does not necessarily improve the Ingress Protection rating of the installed cable gland. Generally cable glands are tested for ingress protection without a shroud being present. In certain conditions the addition of a shroud or other form of external covering may retain unwanted moisture creating a greater threat of penetration than that which it is intended to prevent. In such cases a CMP Deluge Proof cable gland is recommended which negates the need for the use of a shroud and protects the critical migration paths into the interior of the cable gland.
Colour Coded Shrouds
CMP Solo LSF OH Shrouds are manufactured in grey. PVC Shrouds are manufactured as standard in black - alternative colours including Red, Blue and White to suit a wide variety of customer requirements and other colours are available on request.
