The Marathon Carbon Pro is very similar to the Expert. However, for expert racers who need to shed weight, the GT Marathon Carbon Pro is a lighter choice than its heavier sibling, the Carbon Expert. While all Marathon frames are monocoque carbon fiber, the Carbon Pro offers lighter, slimmer Shimano XT components to help cut weight. The Carbon Pro mountain bike also utilizes a FOX 32 RL fork with 120mm of travel and a Fox Float RP23 with rebound adjust lock out and an adjustable pro pedal. GT I drive 4 monocoque carbon fiber front triangle and rear traingle with 4 inches of travel. Integrated headset and main pivot bearings. Internal cable routing.
