Why do we ride? Well physiologically, it is because bike riding is really neurologically stimulating. It simulates our brain with a torrent of sights, feelings, sounds, tastes and smells. But we only know of these sensations because of our sensors. And while there are only five senses, there are many sensors. But few sensors are as fun as the 2010 GT Sensor 3.0. The 3.0 is GT’s intro-level cross-country bike but given its pedigree, many will be fooled. Keeping the GT designed 6061 hydroformed frame with Independent Drivetrain suspension, the Sensor 3.0 is structurally indifferent from the 1.0 and 2.0. In fact, the 3.0 retains the same components as the 2.0 while offering some frugal freedom by giving you Tektro brakes. Suspension varies slightly too on the 3.0 with a SR MAG 32 fork and a Fox Float rear shock. But if you are looking for an intro cross-country bike with a rock-solid frame, the 3.0 is the best choice.
