Am really pleased with this watch. I have spent some time looking at the different range of Rotary Skeleton Watches. There is a similar watch thats automatic but its in silver. There is also another automatic gold skeleton watch with the date/month year on the front, however I noticed you can hardly see much of anything else behind them. This was by far the best of the watches, with a thinner white dial than the others and far more of the watches insides are visible, which for me was the main reason I wanted a skeleton watch in the first place. The only downside is its mechanical and does not seem to have an automatic version.

Worth noting

I read some of the other reviews before buying and noticed the first mentioned a ticking sound and the second states it as untrue. Well I'm partially deaf and it definately DOES have a ticking sound, but it needs to be close to your ear for it to be audiable.

 

 

I bought this as a present to myself. I'm so glad I did. Having had the same watch for the past 7 years I felt it was time for something new (though I still love the old one too!).

This wonderful piece of kit is gorgeous, comfortable, striking and generally brilliant. I have to agree with the reviewers who say the mechanism is quite loud, but (strangely) only when it's at certain angles to your ears(!). however, this is a VERY small price to pay (as is the price of the watch! It looks about 50 times more pricey). The mechanism is mesmeric to watch.

Brilliant product. Just make sure you keep the bill of sale/receipt that comes from the Watch Shop, as this acts as the proof of purchase and guarantee document for the tri-ennial servicing and lifetime guarantee.

I agreed with the previous comment that the photo of the watch above is not exactly matching the look of the watch in reality. What comes in a presentation box on a miniature pillow is stunning! The watch is gold-plated and 42 mm in diameter, so be prepared to see something truly shiny and pretty oversized with a brown (not black) leather strap. As a result it looks quite luxurious and expensive and one would never guess its real price. Please note that the watch is not having an automatic self-winding mechanism as mentioned in product description. In fact it contains a vintage mechanical movement that depends on regular manual winding (40 hours maximum). The watch comes with life-time guarantee by Rotery provided that you send this watch every 3 years to the Rotery service centre for maintenance. If I were asked what to improve in this watch - its sound. It got a loud ticking.
