Construction-wise, the TF1000 includes a reinforced frame that's been tested for a user weight up to 400 pounds, along with wide side rails that acts as a foot platform if necessary. It's also easy to track your workout progress via the LCD display, which monitors your elapsed time, distance walked, calories burned, speed, and pulse. And you easily move the treadmill just about anywhere, as the TF000 includes a folding frame and bottom wheels. The TF1000 carries a five-year warranty on the motor and frame and a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.

The things that make it great are: 1) it folds flat if you need to get it out of the way or transport it in a car (which I did, with my back seats folded down), 2) it's not nearly as heavy as a treadmill made to withstand running, 3) the redundant controls on the handles are an absolute necessity in my Walking Desk configuration, 4) it's really quiet, particularly at the speeds I use it (1.5-2.3 mph)-- I can make phone calls without distraction.

The tread is simple-- it's no frills, but does what it's supposed to reliably so far (again, just over 100 miles on it). It features time, mileage, and calories burned (which it approximates alright-- it does not use your actual weight as part of the calculation) which is nice to keep track of. It also features a heart rate measurement thing, but I don't use it.
I, personally, would like the tread to be about six inches longer, though if you're not using it with a desk configuration, this is not be necessary. The six inches would only make a difference for me at sustained walking (at my desk) at speeds of about 2.5 mph or more. I can probably also address this by modifying the desk.

Since this was a Walking Desk experiment, I thought this treadmill would just be a "good starting place" before moving on to a better model once I knew what I needed, but as it turns out, this treadmill is fine and any changes I need to make will be to the desk.
