Get fit on your own schedule with the Exerpeutic TF1000 electric walking treadmill. The TF1000 is expressly designed for walkers, with an adjustable speed up to 4 miles per hour in 0.1 mph increments.

The more you walk, the better you'll feel, as walking on a treadmill is easier on the knees than outdoor walking (less impact than a sidewalk) while helping you lose body fat, tone muscles, and improve your cardio fitness. The TF1000 is equipped with a 1.5-horsepower high-torque motor and a "Quiet Drive" system that reduces walking noise. As a result, the TF1000 is ideal for folks who want to work out without waking the kids or drowning out the TV or stereo. The treadmill is also safer than many home treadmills thanks to the 20-inch-wide treadmill belt--the same size found in most fitness clubs--and the extra-long 18-inch safety handles, which are two times the standard length.

Construction-wise, the TF1000 includes a reinforced frame that's been tested for a user weight up to 400 pounds, along with wide side rails that acts as a foot platform if necessary. It's also easy to track your workout progress via the LCD display, which monitors your elapsed time, distance walked, calories burned, speed, and pulse. And you easily move the treadmill just about anywhere, as the TF000 includes a folding frame and bottom wheels. The TF1000 carries a five-year warranty on the motor and frame and a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.

We previously purchase the TrekDesk Treadmill Desk to use as stand-up desks, with the plan to add a treadmills later. We recently purchased the Exerpeutic TF100 treadmill, and it works and fits great with the TrekDesk!
As a treadmill, the TF1000 is designed for walking. As such, it has a max speed of 4mph, and the console is gut-level simple. As an added convenience, the basic controls are duplicated near the ends of the handrails, meaning they are at your fingertips as you are walking, and don't need to reach up to the console to control the pace or stop/start.
Given the simpler nature of the device, they have built it very sturdily, and it supports up to 400 pounds. After assembly, it feels very solid. The deck will also fold up to conserve floor space. We don't fold ours up, as they are semi-permanently installed under the TrekDesks, but it's still an nice feature. The deck is wider and not as long as traditional treadmills, which makes it perfect for easy walking without worrying about clipping the sides accidentally. Also, I'm 6'5" and the deck is plenty long enough for me to walk on, even with the TrekDesk in place.
In combination with the TrekDesk, this is an awesome solution. We are able to work at our stand-up desks while walking, using our laptops, along with mice, keyboards, and full size external monitors, taking phone calls, etc - basically everything that we would normally do in our home office, but standing up and walking at the same time.

The treadmill is very quiet, and even with both of us working and on calls, there is not enough noise to be noticeable to the other conference call attendees, or to be distracting to us.
If you need a treadmill to do a jogging or running program, or to have incline adjustments, or integrate with iFit or other online fitness solutions, this is not it. But if you need a solid, well-built, simple, compact, inexpensive walking treadmill, it is a great option. We like it so much we've already ordered a second treadmill for our other TrekDesk!
First off, I did not get this from Amazon, so I can not speak to the pricing/shipping/delivery experience, but I bought one of these last month to use as part of a "Walking Desk".

The things that make it great are: 1) it folds flat if you need to get it out of the way or transport it in a car (which I did, with my back seats folded down), 2) it's not nearly as heavy as a treadmill made to withstand running, 3) the redundant controls on the handles are an absolute necessity in my Walking Desk configuration, 4) it's really quiet, particularly at the speeds I use it (1.5-2.3 mph)-- I can make phone calls without distraction.

The tread is simple-- it's no frills, but does what it's supposed to reliably so far (again, just over 100 miles on it). It features time, mileage, and calories burned (which it approximates alright-- it does not use your actual weight as part of the calculation) which is nice to keep track of. It also features a heart rate measurement thing, but I don't use it.

I, personally, would like the tread to be about six inches longer, though if you're not using it with a desk configuration, this is not be necessary. The six inches would only make a difference for me at sustained walking (at my desk) at speeds of about 2.5 mph or more. I can probably also address this by modifying the desk.

Since this was a Walking Desk experiment, I thought this treadmill would just be a "good starting place" before moving on to a better model once I knew what I needed, but as it turns out, this treadmill is fine and any changes I need to make will be to the desk.
