The ABS/SRS Code Reader OBDII Scan Tool was developed by experts in the automotive service industry to access the information stored in the various vehicle modules. The Tool retrieves codes from the ABS and SRS systems and scans for OBDII codes. It also provides the definition of each code to help diagnose problem areas within the systems that may cause the malfunction indicator light to turn on.

Use the Scanning Suite software to get the most out of your 9450 Scan Tool. Install the downloaded Scanning Suite application (available at otctools.com) prior to connecting the Scan Tool to the PC. Once installed, the Scanning Suite includes useful additions such as manuals, tool update software, print capture, and more. I bought this scanner to specifically read SRS code/light on my 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Prior to purchasing I made sure my vehicle was listed as being compatible with this model scanner for SRS issues.

Positive: the scanner did display an engine code that had tripped my check engine light. The interface is easy to read with simple to understand menus.

Negative: it will not/would not read any SRS codes - tells me to double check connections or vehicle not compatible. I decided to see if there was a software update that may resolve the issue so I downloaded the software suite to try and update device. I was unable to get the device to update or there was no update available; the software suite did not indicate either, just showed nothing to select as far as any updates.
(Note - it does not come with USB cable to connect to PC, you have to purchase one separately)

One other item to be aware of prior to purchasing is that it does not support reading/diagnosing ABS codes for the '99 Grand Prix either.
