Enjoy a total body cardio workout without trudging to the gym day after day with the Body Rider BRD2000 dual cardio trainer. The BRD2000 is actually two fitness machines in one, with a pair of elliptical arms and foot pedals for upright elliptical use, as well as an adjustable seat that turns the machine into an exercise bike. As a result, users can vary their workout routines depending on the goals they're trying to achieve. The BRD2000 is built around a chain-driven fan wheel, with high-momentum fan blades that run quietly and smoothly without impacting your knees. (The fan also produces a gentle breeze as you exercise.) The electronic console, meanwhile, makes it easy to track your workout, with measurements for time, speed, distance, and calories burned. Finally, the unit's seat adjusts vertically and horizontally to fit users of different heights and weights. Too busy to hit the gym on a regular basis? The BRD2000 will help you see results in only 20 minutes per day three or four times a week.

About Elliptical Trainers
Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips.

Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won't strain sensitive joints.Bayls Super Fusion, V-Fit T2-08, Christopeit AX 1 , Finnlo Corum Exercise , REEBOK 5 Series , WaterRower S1, Sole E98, Atala Facila Magnetica, Reebok Recumbent , Atala Slimfit 1590, CRAZY FIT MASSAGE, Reebok R900, Atala Viva Voga , WaterRower Hi Rise, Atala Cfit110, V-Fit MPTM-2 , Reebok Crosstrainer, V-Fit G-TM, Weslo 3.0 Elite Elliptical, Weslo Elite Gear, Stamm Syney 5000, Atala Cfitergo , Finnlo Technum II , Atala Runfit 1290, Reebok 4.5s, Finnlo Corum Stressless, Reebok i-bike 2.5e, Power Plate Pro 5, POWRX Pro Evolution, Power Plate My3, Power Plate My5, Fuel F85, Finnlo Exum Exercise Bike, Power Plate Pro 5, Finnlo Speedbike CRS, Hammer Crosstech XT, Power Plate My3, Finnlo Endurance II, Hammer Ellyptech 4000, Hammer Seveno XT, JTX Fitness Home Gym, JTX FitnessJTX Pro , Proform 905, POWRX Pro Evolution 3.5 , Power Plate Pro6 , Hammer Cardio X1 , Flabelos Vibration Plate, Flabelos Vibration , Power Vibe PRO , JTX Smart Stride 23

Product Description
This patented 2-in-one Cardio Dual Trainer is used as an Elliptical Trainer or an Exercise Bike. The high momentum fan blades provide quiet and smooth rides with zero impact to your knees. The motivational electronic display console measures Time, Speed, Distance, and Calories Burned while you exercise. Use it only 20 minutes a day, 3 to 4 times a week, you will get the results that you always wanted.

I purchased this when I was doing some physical rehab work at home after recovering from a serious illness, in which my doctor told me I would have to quit my exercising regimine. I lost my muscle tone, and gained about 10-15 pounds due to having to "take it easy" and the meds I was on. After about a year, he gave me the go-ahead to start working out again, but much slower and less intensely than what I had done prior to my medical problems. After so much muscle deterioration (I had trouble going up stairs) as well as other ill effects, I knew I would need something to pace myself and give me some variety between sitting and working my legs, as well as the option to do elliptical training. Prior to being sick, I mostly did intense workouts with ankle weights and wrist weights during my calisthenics. I was used to working out nightly and felt strong and fit. I wanted to feel that well again, but knew it would take a while. This has helped me in not only feeling productive and proactive in regaining some strength and endurance, but has also helped other members of my family to want to work out with this machine as well, simply by having it in our home. That is a great bonus!

I like this for a variety of reasons:
* the price was right around what I was looking for;
* this provides two options, the exercise bike portion as well as elliptical;
* there is a knob that you can adjust the intensity of the resistance in the wheel portion, which can go from "Aw, this ain't nuthin!" to "Oh, ow, ow, ow, my legs!" it can be very intense, at least for me;
* the little monitor attached can be interesting at times, to keep progress of time, calories, speed, etc.;
* it assembled in about an hour;
* it helps with all over body working, as your arms have to keep up with the longer handlebars when going elliptical;
* I like the smaller stationary bars for when I am sitting, or when I don't want to use the longer handlebars;
* it has the adjustable seat height, which is helpful for different members of the family;
* it is quite smooth for the sitting/bike portion; (see con's for comments below on elliptical);
* it can surely get your heartrate going, depending on your desired intensity level;

The cons are few, and some minor, as follows:
* the little monitor doesn't stay on really well, it just slides on for ease of battery replacement. The only times it comes off is when I am careless and knock it, though;
* it is sort of loud, but that's not a big deal to me, and it helps to drown out my groans:)
* when I do the elliptical portion, it does seem at times just a SLIGHT bit choppy to me, but that's probably a "me" thing and my own personal fluctuation of "just 5 more minutes!" moments, when I'm running low on energy. I only thought to add this, just in case it wasn't an all "me" issue with the elliptical part. It's a minor thing, and not at all a dealbreaker;Biosync Foldable, Ultrafit Drafter 550, Medicarn Vibration Plate, York C202, Confidence Gtr Power Pro, UPGRADED 1750W , Bslimmer Gold Plus, York C201 , Marcy RM413 , Bslimmer White Unisex, 2011 Silver Crazy Fit, GYM MASTER, York XC530, V-Fit G-RC, Reebok Z9, Kettler Servo 800, Body Sculpture BT3152, Kettler Cycle M, Kettler Sinto P, Fuel Fitness 4.0 , New 2013 Early Release, Hammer Cardio CE1, Kettler Axos Rower, V-Fit BST-RC , York X202 , Eco - Stepper Folding , Infiniti R100, York Nexus Cross, Confidence MTI , York T202, Upgraded 2000W, JTX Smart Stride 21 , PureFitness Sports R800, Maxima Fitness MF-2000, York T201, Body Sculpture BC6730G, V-Fit AR1 Artemis 2, V-Fit MPTCR2, JTX 6000, 2011 Silver Crazy Fit, Branx Fitness 24Kph, Maxima Fitness MF-2000-ProFX, NEW Air-Walker Cross-Trainer, WaterRower A1, V-Fit SC1-P, PureFitness Sports , GYM MASTER, JTX 5000XL, York Active 120, York X201 , York X101 , Body Sculpture BC6510, Motivefitness Vibration , Kettler Cycle P,

All in all, not only do I, but also other members of my family enjoy this very much...I guess as much as an instrument of torture can be, at least that's how it feels in the tail-end of my "workout" session with this. It most certainly will work you out, in my opinion, and gives a wide variety of options in one package.

By the way, if you are working out to lose weight, I would highly suggest you work out your legs and build/tone your muscles in them especially first, )although I would also recommend at least toning and working up to an all-body exercise program as well). Our legs have the largest muscles in our bodies, and have the greatest capacity to burn the most calories, even while at rest. There is a lot of information on this on the web. I feel this machine would be a great machine to start with, and you can watch tv or listen to music while doing it! Most importantly, pace yourself and don't give up on yourself. Even if you stay on this for 2 minutes at a time throughout the day, it's still something.

Full disclosure: I have only worked out on this sporadically these past several months (I bought this a year ago, in which time I used this way more often)...I have been too busy going up and down stairs, slow sometimes, but much better, doing housework and going to and fro!) Yay!
