This particular bike is really a smooth ride and easy on the ankles, knees, hips and back. I've attached some before and after pictures so you can see what this machine did for me!!! A colleague of mine was so impressed at how fast i lost the weight he came over my house to see this machine that I'd been talking about, it took him all of 30 seconds of riding it before he asked me where he could purchase one! I know for a fact that there are much, much, much better products out there. But they also cost a heck of a lot more. I paid $130 for this, and it was fulfilled by Amazon, so I got free shipping. I honestly don't know how you could do any better than getting something like this for a little more than $100. I've seen $100 bikes in various stores, and they are awful. They look like they are going to fall apart if I sit on them. This one isn't too bad, plus you get the option of using it as the elliptical.

As others have pointed out, it could be somewhat difficult to put together if you're not mechanically-inclined. The instructions are not well-written, and you need to put a little muscle into some of the tightening. You're definitely going to want to have a can of lubricant on-hand. Another issue others have pointed out is that this thing can be very loud if you're really pushing it.

All-in-all, though, like I said, I doubt you could do any better for the price. In December of 2010 I purchased a Confidence 2 in 1 elliptical trainer. By February 2011, I had to contact the company to have the product replaced because the bolts that attached the pedals broke. By April, the replacement product had a slipping motion and once more had to be replaced. By the end of May, the product was once more replaced due to a similar problem. This occurred again in August 2011. The product lasted until February 2012 when the same problem appeared.

I was a shipped a replacement- not once but twice- and both times the replacement arrived broken. The first time the wheel that is supposed to turn when pedaled was not correctly aligned and won't move, so you can't pedal. It sits right against the large plastic piece that protects the gears. Also, several of the plastic pieces were broken upon arrival. The second time, the product came out of the box making the slipping motion and while the large wheel that was supposed to turn when pedaled spun, it was rubbing slightly against the large plastic piece.

I am deeply disappointed in this product. For something that comes with a 1 year warranty and costs $140, I expected better quality and better service. While your company has done well and replaced the product every time I've reported a problem (until now when they say my warrenty has run out!), it takes a week and half to get the product replaced every time. For a product that is supposed to last 12 months, I've averaged 3.5 months per elliptical trainer- and that doesn't even count the time I spent going on vacation in the summer and not using it during the fall!

Save yourself the hassle and buy something that will last. Also, I would like to point out that the company I purchased this through claims that "They've never had a customer have so much trouble with one of their products". Interesting since there is a large number of 1 star reviews here on Amazon.com for this product!

At first I loved this machine, despite the 3 hours it took to put together. An elliptical and bike all in one? Perfect! Or so I thought.

To start, the good points:
1. The price is fantastic.
2. It isn't terribly loud, though I wouldn't want to use it later at night when it might wake someone up.
3. Both the elliptical and bike can give you a decent workout in a short amount of time.
4. The arms are fully adjustable, I'm 5'8" with a long arm extension and both I and someone who is 6'2" with a normal arm extension were able to use this reasonable comfortably.

The bad points:
1. It falls apart. I'm not just talking about the adjustable arm brackets that become so loose during the workout that they have to be re-adjusted 4 times. I'm talking about the nut and bolt for the foot pedals that comes flinging off in the middle of a workout. I almost injured myself when it happened the first time. I thought I had managed to get it back together, and started to work out again, when it happened a 2nd time. The 3rd time was not a charm, and now I have a broken piece of $140 equipment taking up the space at the end of my bed. I have only had this piece of equipment for 2 months, it is FAR too early for a malfunction like this. I highly recommend that if you're interested in this product, save your money. Wait until you can afford something better...because now I'm forced to go to the gym early instead of being able to use my own elliptical.
